A Long, Narrow, Large Size, Visibly Aged And Repeatedly Anciently Use Sharpened, Nicely Made Stanfield Blade That Exhibits Surface Sheen And Stone Aging Coloration Patination, Evident Basal Edge Hafting Dulling, Heavy Overall Ancient Use Wear, Correct Archaic Style Blade Flaking, Aged Soil And Mineral Surface Deposits, Visible Blade Center Line Use Wear, Correct Material And Manufacture For The Area Found. Found In The Vicinity Of The Tennessee River. Ex-Jim Hogue Collection. Early Flaked Examples With Visible Wear, Such As This Example, Are Of The Transitional Paleo Period.
